First of all, I'd like to say that the size was perfect. I have never ordered a city chic dress before, and after reading a multitude of comments on various dresses, I honestly had no idea what size to order! I read reviews that said the brand runs large and others that said I should order two sizes up! Well, I took a chance and ordered according to the size chart, a 16W, and the size was truly perfect. I typically wear a size 16/xl in most things - pants, dresses, and tops; my bust size is a 38DD. I almost always take a 16 in a Lauren dress and WHBM dress. If a 16 is not available in a Lauren dress, I can sometimes take a 14W. When I read reviews that said I should order a 20 in a City Chic dress, I just couldn't believe it! I'm glad I ignored that advice. Hopefully, the details I have provided on size will help someone else trying to figure things out. I definitely recommend going by the size table.As for the dress itself, it is a beautiful gown; I liked the detailing and the fabric. It was quite long, however...had I kept it, I probably would have had to have it hemmed. I am 5'4" and really wanted something that exposed my ankles; as such, this dress did not suit my need. I still might have kept the dress, though, except that the zipper was very sticky. Not only was it sticky as I unzipped the dress, once on, I thought I would never get it zipped up; in fact, I feared that I was going to break it just trying it on.I can't speak to the typical quality of zippers for this brand as I have never tried out this line until now. The zipper on this dress might be a fluke; I certainly hope so because since this one didn't work out, I have ordered two other styles in hopes that one of them might work. I'm definitely willing to to give this brand a second chance!
